Please take a look at the fantastic designs submitted by our children for the Christmas Card/Gift project.  Look out for me in the playground this morning if you made an order. All up to date information, regarding Christmas Events, can be found within Mr Buttery’s Update and will be in the Diary Dates each week until Christmas.

Get ready for the Sponsored Read!

To celebrate and encourage a love of reading, we are running a sponsored read between Monday 20th November and Friday 24th November. This is an optional event but we do hope that many children choose to take part.

All the money raised will go towards brand new books for our school. In addition to the sponsorship money, Usborne will also donate up to 60% of the total raised in EXTRA FREE BOOKS to the school. So, for every £600 raised, we will get an extra £360 in FREE Usborne books!

Our target is to raise £600 in sponsor money. If 100 of our children took part and raised £6 each, we would reach that target! Please help us to enhance our reading resources for pupils by encouraging your child to spend a small amount of time each day either reading to themselves, to others, or being read to.

Many thanks for your support.Miss Palmer and Mrs Granger

Mrs Leach to run from York to London and back again 2023 to 2024**

I’m excited to let you know that I’ve been fortunate enough to secure a ballot place in next year’s London Marathon to be held on the 21st of April 2024.

As a result, I am delighted to inform you that I am using this fantastic opportunity to raise money for the PTFA at the school. All money raised will provide vital resources and enrichment experiences for our amazing pupils that the school might not otherwise be able to afford.

With the support of the school and the PTFA, I am planning to arrange several events from now until the race that will involve all the children in my training, help highlight the fun of exercise and also the benefit of bringing a growth mindset into class every day. The picture attached is from when I last ran the marathon in 2015, and you can read my story here.

**This refers to the potential training miles involved in preparing for the event but may be subject to a competition, so not going to be giving too much away!Mrs Leach
