Respect – Autumn Term 2023

The Christian Value we are particularly focusing on this half term is Respect.

As Moses approached the presence of God in the burning bush, God said to him: “Do not come any closer. Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” This scene captures something of the essence of reverence and respect.

Respect for God extends to respect for all creation, including all people, animals and our environment. In our school children and adults show respect for each other, their belongings and their environment.

“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity and sound speech”

Titus 2:7

It would be wonderful to see a large proportion of the children taking part in the home-school challenge. You can explore this value at home using the resource on the right.

Christmas Card Design Project

I am so sorry to mention the ‘C word’ so early on in the school term but I am sure everyone will be pleased to solve some Christmas Gift concerns in September! Please see the attached information regarding an exciting Christmas Design Project which the children love to take part in, your child will bringing home a design sheet today.

The PTA supports the school by raising money to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences and opportunities for all the children across the school. 100% of the profits made from this project goes directly to this organisation. £99 was raised in sales last year.

Please follow instructions carefully and return designs to school by Monday 16th October, should you wish to order.  (That is just a few weeks away!)

Kind regards,Mrs Greening

We are pleased to inform you that we now have some spaces within our Guitar, Piano and Singing  Lessons. These places will be given on a first come first serve basis. Last year, the children thoroughly enjoyed engaging with these extra curricular music lessons within school time. Guitar lessons take place on a Monday afternoon and Piano and Singing lessons on a Friday afternoon.

If your child is interested in any of the musical instrument lessons, please see the attached leaflets with additional information, prices and how to book.
