Click here to find out more about applying for a place at Elvington Church of England Primary School
You should apply for your child’s place at primary or infant school in the school year your child turns 4 – so if your child was born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020, it is time to start thinking about applying for a place in Reception for September 2024!
The deadline for applications is 15th January 2024.
Please note that applying early does not give any priority, although to have the best chance of your application being successful you should ensure you complete and submit your application by the deadline.
Please find this week’s Newsletter below. Please look out for news of a cake sale, which some of our children are working hard on, to support a local cancer charity. For those attending, please return your Young Voices order today.
Georgia, Tabitha, Rebekah and Charlotte are kindly arranging a bake sale, with all proceeds going to a York Cancer Charity. This will take place at 3.15 pm on Friday 6th October. The girls will be so very grateful for your support.
The Christian Value we are particularly focusing on this half term is Respect.
As Moses approached the presence of God in the burning bush, God said to him: “Do not come any closer. Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” This scene captures something of the essence of reverence and respect.
Respect for God extends to respect for all creation, including all people, animals and our environment. In our school children and adults show respect for each other, their belongings and their environment.
“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity and sound speech”
Titus 2:7
It would be wonderful to see a large proportion of the children taking part in the home-school challenge. You can explore this value at home using the resource on the right.
