As well as keeping us fit and being lots of fun, all our hard work in sports and P.E. has earned us the silver award from the Youth Sport Trust!
Well done to our football team who are now the Small School League Champions! 
We had a fabulous trip to the Yorkshire Arboretum earlier this year. If you are considering a family visit you could take a look at their Children’s Activities Leaflet!
All the children took up the challenge of climbing to the top of the climbing wall on Monday: and we even had some staff members showing their skills too! If every child had managed to climb to the top we would have climbed a total of 3600ft, almost an eighth of Mount Everest!
This week it has been our school sports week. We have tried lots of different activities and have had plenty of visitors in school to inspire us. We played tennis with Mr Ward, football coaching from Mike who is from York city…
We had a super afternoon when the Bishop of Selby came to visit. During his time with us, Bishop John had a tour of the school, spoke to the School Council and officially opened our new quad garden area.
We were delighted that so many of the people who contributed to making the quad garden possible were able to join us for the opening. It was wonderful to be able to say a proper thank you to everyone, and especially to Jon and Tony, it couldn’t have been done without you!
We’d like to thank everyone who spared the time to come along to the event, it was lovely to see so many parents, governors and friends in the community in school. KS2 also entertained everyone with a sneak preview of one of the songs that they will be performing in the summer Joseph show; it was absolutely amazing!
Staff and children are now looking forward to using the garden within lesson time to relax and learn for many years to come.
Well done to all the children who represented the school at the Youth School Sports Games this week. What an amazing achievement for us to be able to take four teams to compete!
