We are all looking forward to next Friday’s charity event, in aid of Breast Cancer Research. Thank you to everyone who has booked an afternoon tea. (Last bookings for these are 12 noon today.) We are extremely grateful to everyone who has donated to our raffle and tombola. Please read the information in the Newsletter to avoid missing anything on the day!

You are still able to assist us by downloading the Asda App and choosing our school to receive funding each time you shop. So far you have raised nearly £200. Thank you.

We hope you will look closely at our Wear it Pink Day information, ensuring that nobody misses out on the fun! Again, if you have anything pink to donate to the raffle or any other items to donate to the tombola, we will be extremely grateful. Please can these be in school by October 11th.

We are now taking bookings for the Afternoon Tea and they are selling fast! Hutchisons Catering Team require final numbers by 11th October.

Thank you to everyone who have downloaded the Asda App and nominated Elvington Primary School as your chosen school, you have so far raised £172.89. This offer does not cost you a penny and there is still plenty of time to take part! (30th November closing date.)

Look out for the free events happening in York soon, including chance to visit the Minster for a family event, saving £18 per adult, and 2 free musical offers.

We hope you were all in receipt of the ‘Wear it Pink Day’ information, which was sent out yesterday. Please can we stress, we do not expect anyone to purchase pink clothes solely for this event! For more information, please see here.

Again, we would be extremely grateful if any of our Asda shoppers would look at the Cashpot for Schools item. Downloading the Asda app and choosing Elvington School means we will benefit from your shop, without it costing you a penny extra.

We would be so grateful if you could look at the ‘CASHPOT for Schools’ item.  This could help raise some much needed funds to assist us in purchasing extra resources, funding fun and educational school trips and seasonal activities.  All you have to do is download the Asda Rewards app, choose Elvington Primary School and scan each time you shop in store or online at asda.com, between now and 30th November 2024.  You have already raised £117.83, thank you.

Please head to the Cashpot for Schools item which simply explains how shopping at Asda can earn the school lots of money without costing you a penny! I have also attached further information. But please hurry, this offer is only active between 2nd September and 30th November 2024.   In just 4 days we have already earned over £70!  Thank you to Mrs. K Handley for making us aware of this super initiative.

Please also look out for Diary Dates, Sharing Assembly information and local club/activity advertisements. We have attached a flyer for a nearby drama club and a voucher entitling children to 12 free drama lessons and also the club list, in .pdf format, as some parents had difficulty viewing this on their phones.

There are lots of ideas to keep the children entertained over the school holidays, including a flyer from North Yorkshire Sport who are offering an afternoon session for 4 afternoons in the holidays  – its free and open to anyone 6+! Please remember, the PTA are holding a sweet stall after school today, all sweets £1. We are extremely grateful for your support. We have also attached next term’s school clubs and a customer notice from The School Shop.

Please feel free to have a look in the Star Barn for any of your child’s uniform needs for next September. A big thank you to Dr Brackenbury who has spent many hours this week establishing a clean, neat and organised barn interior with the clothes displayed in age order. There are lots of nearly new items of all ages. Please help us maintain this orderly space whilst browsing.

Should you have any laundered uniform you would like to donate, please could you bring them to reception rather than leaving them in the barn. Thank you in advance.
