We are currently looking to further enhance our reading provision in Key Stage Two by utilising reading volunteers.  Classes 4 and 5 would welcome a volunteer/s to read with the children on an afternoon (ideally on a Thursday or Friday).

Elvington Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) have merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). CRB checks are now called DBS checks.  Volunteers who help regularly in school are required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
